Asari Dokubo Threatens Buhari With War And Bloodshed

Former war-lord and leader of the defunct Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has declared that assumption of power by President Goodluck Jonathan was like a “restraining order”, adding that now that the reason for holding back is no more, the future of the country is uncertain.

Claiming that Nigeria would never be the same again, Asari-Dokubu stated that the defeat suffered by President Goodluck Jonathan at the poll could erode the stability in the Niger Delta region. He added that the policies initiated by President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, would determine the next line of action that the militant group would take.

The former dissident bared his mind yesterday during the annual Isaac Adaka Boro’s memorial public event convened by spokesman of the Niger Delta People Salvation Front, NDPSF, Rex Anighoro. While asserting that the Niger Delta region and the Igbos were not defeated in the last election, insisting that it was President Goodluck Jonathan and his party that lost the election.

According to him, “Yes, a new government begins in Nigeria and a next phase of our struggle shall begin. Jonathan Goodluck presidency was like a restraining order. Now that the restraint is lifted, however, we will watch and wait, let them draw the first blood and we shall determine our best way forward. Nigeria will never be the same again. The future is pregnant
